1. Are embossed carbon-look plates legal on public roads?

Yes. Our aluminium plates with a 3D carbon finish are tested under DIN 74069, the German license plate standard, by the Materialprüfungsanstalt (MPA, materials testing institute) and approved for public road use by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (Federal Motor Transport Authority) and DIN CERTCO.

The decisive difference lies in comparison with inadmissible adhesive films: on our carbon-look plates, the carbon structure is applied in a hot-stamping process directly onto the highly reflective aluminium blank using a certified special foil.

  • 100 % compliant with registration requirements at all 414 German Zulassungsstellen (vehicle registration offices)
  • Fully valid at the periodic technical inspection (TÜV, DEKRA, GTÜ) and at police checks
  • Can be combined with standard, E, H, seasonal and motorcycle plates
